On the last two Sundays the church has held most memorable community events. Last Sunday over 400 people attended our annual Christmas concert. The programme comprised of a wide range of music and song by local musicians from all age groups in the lower Braes, but particularly the pupils of our local schools and the church choir. We were delighted to have Mark Ashmore, a resident of Polmont, as our guest soloist who had a stunning Bass voice. The whole event being accompanied by a 16-strong orchestra being conducted with Alison Hastie our choir leader and organist. We had a spectacular event which gave much pleasure to those who attended but also helped to fund our church. This Sunday, which was the third Sunday in advent, the congregation was taken by surprise by our local children who presented a colourful nativity play which lit up the church and was enjoyed by all. The singing of the traditional carols by all was a great finale for the children’s play. Sunday, December 21 - morning service conducted by Rev.
