Originally hailing from Rochdale, Paddy the Pug had a rough start to his life as his original owners struggled to give him the care and attention he needed.
Things are looking up now though, after Ashleigh Lightbody and her family picked him up from the West Calder Dogs Trust in February and took him into their Slamannan home. “He had problems with his eyes and was quite shy at first, but he’s fine now,” said Ashleigh.
Four-year-old Paddy is the perfect companion and has struck up a particularly close relationship with the youngest member of the family.
Ashleigh said: “He follows our one-year-old around and sits waiting for food to be dropped. He’s just a friendly wee dog.”
