One-and-a-half year old Liffey lives with the Parkers in Larbert.

She was rehomed from the Dogs Trust just six weeks ago, and the Parkers couldn’t be happier with the lively Staffie Cross.

Mum Gill said: “She’s a joy. She’s our first family dog, after I and my husband Jim decided it was the right time. She’s full of fun, is really affectionate, and responds very well to TLC.

“She loves everybody and she has settled in tremendously quickly.

“She has endless energy, but at the same time she’d also happily sleep for 11 hours a night.

“We have a log fire, and sometimes we’ll find her out in the garden and the logs will be scattered everywhere.

“I’d always recommend people get a rescue dog.

“There are so many dogs looking for a home, and the Dogs Trust is great at matching people with dogs.”
