Pickles is a five-year-old Staffie who lives at the Dogs Trust in West Calder, after being left abandoned, homeless and having to fend for himself.

When he arrived at the centre he was very thin and withdrawn. He didn’t know how to play with toys but would pick up tree branches instead. After some TLC, he filled out, became happier and playful, and loves to carry a tennis ball in his mouth.

Pickles is house-trained and good around people. He needs a calm owner, who loves the staffie breed.

He is not keen on other dogs and would be best as the only pet in a quiet home.

Pickles is vaccinated, neutered, micro-chipped and comes with insurance and behavioural advice for the rest of his life.

If you want to offer Pickles a home, call the centre on (01506) 873459.
