Fate brought Buster the boxer together with owners Kenny and Suzanne Thomson four years ago and now they can’t imagine life without him.
The Rumford couple’s dog Pepsi, also a boxer, had just died and a chance encounter in a shop led them to a litter of puppies in Carron which included little Buster.
Kenny said: “He was the character - he barked, bit my finger and fell over.”
Growing up to become a “very inquisitive” dog, Buster can be regularly found raking the bin for scraps of food. Despite this habit, he retains his slim and muscular physique.
Kenny said: “His parents were both show dogs and you can see it in the way he walks. He’s a very intelligent dog, but his attention span is short and he does need a lot of exercise.”
