Have your say

Catching up with Falkirk’s four-legged friends

How old are you? Five.

What’s your breed? I’m a male German shepherd.

Where are you living at the moment? Dogs Trust in West Calder, Livingston.

Why are you there? Looking for a new home.

Where would you like to be? I was injured in a car accident when I was just a year old and ended up losing my front leg. Although this was major for me, I’ve taken on the challenge well and don’t let my injury affect me. I love to go out for walks and am always happy to explore new places especially if I get to go out in the car. I enjoy frolicking around the garden and playing with my favourite ball. I’m house-trained and comfortable being left alone in the house for a few hours. I’m looking for a home with few stairs and easy access to the garden.

What qualities do you need from your owners? Although I have lived with another dog, I prefer to spend my time with people rather than other dogs. Ideally I would like to be the only pet in the household as I adore all the attention.

Anything else? Although I only have three legs, I am still a strong boy with a big personality and am looking for new owners who understand the German shepherd breed.

If you can offer Sable or any of the other 60 dogs a home, contact the centre on (01506) 873459.
