Support Group

A support group for people bereaved by suicide. The group meet on an informal basis once a month on the last Monday of each month from 6-8.30 p.m. The group welcomes everyone who has experienced the loss through suicide of a person close to them. The group facilitators have experience participating in and facilitating groups, and are experienced counsellors. The group meets in Falkirk District Association for Mental Health (FDAMH) at Victoria Road.

Engineers Association

The next meeting of the Forth Valley branch will be a social day out on Saturday, April 12. For those going on the distillery trip meet up at Stirling Bus Station at 9.45 a.m. After the trip met up at Morrison’s pub for the meal at 2 p.m.

Fine Arts

This month’s lecture from Stirling Decorative and Fine Arts Society is ‘Durer: Graphic artist of pure genius’ and will be held on Thursday, April 17 at 11 a.m. The lecturer is Hilary Williams BA (Hons) MA (Courtauld), formerly print room superintendent at the British Museum. The society hosts a series of monthly lectures at the Albert Hall in Stirling from September to June as well as visits, study days and tours. For enquiries, contact Beth Annan on 01259 761281. Annual Concert

The Forth Bridges Accordion Band annual concert will be held on Monday, May 19 at Falkirk Town Hall. The evening will consist of the band performing a variety of Scottish traditional music and old time favourite. New for this year will be the concert band performing a variety of waltz music.
