Monday saw the annual launch of the Festive Campaign for the town centre led by Falkirk BID.
Sergeant Liam Harman, who takes up post as the Falkirk North Community Sergeant on Monday, gave a presentation on the policing plans for the forthcoming weeks.
This will include a dedicated ward officer presence, supported by plainclothes officers who will work with our partners in Safebase, street pastors, taxi marshalls and street ambassadors to name a few, to ensure safe shopping and socialising in the run up to Christmas.
I will provide safety tips and advice on a number of festive issues over the next few weeks.
And finally ... thank you to the Probus Club for their hospitality on Tuesday when they asked me to speak about policing the Falkirk area and in particular bogus workmen.
A lively audience who kept me on my toes with their probing questions about local policing.
