A 40mph speed limit will be in force on the M9 for the next two weekends as resurfacing work is carried out.

A traffic contra-flow will be in place on the southbound carriageway of the M9 between junction nine (Bannockburn) and junction eight (Hill of Kinnaird) from 8 p.m. tomorrow until 6 a.m. on Monday.

The resurfacing work will be carried out over two weekends, and will resume on Friday, August 2 at 8 a.m. until 6 a.m. on Monday, August 5.

This section of the M9 is used by around 11,000 vehicles every day and now requires upgrading.
