A young man was saved from a burning building in Langlees and then refused treatment from ambulance personnel.

The incident happened in Dunning Place just before 3 a.m. on Saturday when a smoke alarm alerted three appliances from Larbert and Falkirk fire stations.

Firefighters battled the blaze at the block of flats and rescued a man, believed to be 25.

Scottish Ambulance staff stated the man refused to be taken to hospital or even let paramedics check him over for smoke inhalation.
