Maddiston Community Council is holding a public meeting tonight (Thursday) to discuss the way ahead in the village and how we can progress a number of challenging projects for the benefit of the village. Concern has been expressed by some residents at the delay in publishing the village action plan which is in the hands of the council while of a more immediate importance are the complaints about litter and dog fouling. The next Community Council meeting, which will be held on April 3, includes a presentation by Scottish Water on the standard of sewage, drainage and water supply in the Braes - all are welcome to attend this meeting.
