Quiz Night

Maddiston Primary School Parents Staff Association is holding a quiz night in Polmont Golf Club to raise money for the primary school children on Friday, March 20. The quiz night will commence at 7.30 p.m. for an 8 p.m. start and there will be a disco afterwards. Please bring your own nibbles. Maximum numbers for teams are six and the cost will be £5 a head. There will be prizes for the quiz winners and we will have a cash quiz on the night. Please come along and support the school and have a fun night out. Golf Club

A domino competition goes ahead at the Manuelrigg premises every Sunday afternoon when the winner can pick up a coo pie.

Muiravonside Church

Last Sunday, Morning Service in Muiravonside Parish Church was conducted by our Minister, Rev. Louise McClements. During the Intimations, a warm welcome was given to Mrs Jacqueline Dignan, our organist for the Service. This Sunday, the Service in Muiravonside Parish Church will commence at the usual time of 11.30 a.m. and will be conducted by Rev. Philip Hacking. The Sunday Club meets at the same time. The ASM will take place here in church after Morning Service on Sunday, March 22. The next meeting of the Kirk Session takes place in Muiravonside Church on Tuesday at 7.30 p.m. Boxes are still available in church for your donations towards both the Falkirk Foodbank and the Falkirk Homeless Project. If anyone is interested in receiving a copy of the Sunday Service for someone who is unable to attend church, then see Jackie Napier after the Service.

Dance Classes

Dance classes for P1-4: There are spaces for P1-2 children in the jazz and tap dance class at Maddiston Community Centre on Fridays, 3.45 p.m., and also in the P3-4 class at Polmont Golf Club (Maddiston) on Fridays, 5 p.m. All abilities welcome. Call (01324) 716425 or drop in.

Salvation Army

A very warm welcome awaits you at Maddiston Salvation Army, anyone is welcome to attend any of our activities. Sunday Worship is at 10.30 a.m. in the Salvation Army Centre, Main Street, Maddiston, FK2 0LU. For further information contact (01324) 711793. We are always looking to develop our programme and are looking for volunteers. The weekly programme is - Mondays: 2 p.m. – Prayer and Bible Study; 6.30 p.m. - Songsters (Choir). Tuesdays: 12.30 p.m. – Lunch Club, two-course meal plus tea/coffee & biscuits (£3); 2 p.m. - Home League (Ladies Meeting); 5.30 p.m. – Kidz Club. Thursdays: Parent and Toddlers, 9.30 a.m.; Fridays: 9.30 a.m. - Parent and Toddlers; 5.45 p.m. – Praise Group; 6.30 p.m. - Band. Our Coffee Morning with the all-aged singing group was a great success, thank you to everyone who supported us. Next Sunday, our Morthers’ Day Service will be led by Captain Gavin Friday from Divisional Headquarters. This will be followed by a Mothers’ Day Lunch at noon, everyone is welcome, please book your place.
