Muiravonside Church

Last Sunday’s morning service was conducted by Mrs Amanda McQuarry. During the intimations a warm welcome was given to Mrs Jacqueline Dignan who was our organist for the service. This Sunday morning service will be held at the usual time of 11.30 a.m. and will be conducted by Mrs Amanda McQuarry. The next Haining Nursing Home Service takes place next Tuesday, July 22 at 2 p.m.

Evangelical Church

The family service on Sunday at 11.30 a.m. will be taken by Derek Watt from Greenock, his subject will be ‘God’s forgiveness - our incentive’, Luke Chapter 7: 36-50. Children can go in their own groups at noon. There will be a church picnic in Callendar Park at 1.30 p.m. Bring your own picnic lunch and meet in front of Callendar House. (If weather unsuitable, enjoy your picnic and some friendship in the church annexe). Everyone welcome, whether it’s your first time or your 55th time at the church.

Salvation Army

A warm welcome awaits you at Maddiston Salvation Army. Morning Worship is every Sunday at 10.30a.m. in the Salvation Army Centre, Main Street, Maddiston. The weekly programme is as follows: Tuesday - Lunch Club at 12.30 p.m., Ladies meeting 2 p.m., Kids Club (five–12 year olds) 5.30 p.m.; Thursday – Parent and Toddlers 9.30 p.m., Bible Study 6 p.m.; Friday – Parent and Toddlers 9.30 a.m. All welcome. For further information, contact (01324) 711973. Meanwhile, the organisation is looking to develop its programme and it is always looking for volunteers.

Golf Club

Tickets, priced £2, are now available for Caroline’s Karaoke Disco that goes ahead at the Manuelrigg premises on Saturday, August 2, from 8.30 p.m. until late. The briefs can be booked through Tam Forsyth, Zander or enquire at the bar. There is no entry at the door on the night. Meanwhile, a domino competition continues every Sunday afternoon when a Coo Pie can be won.
