Maddiston Community Council can now confirm that the War Memorial which is to be located on the corner of Vellore Road and Main Street, opposite the Salvation Army, will be unveiled on the morning of Saturday, June 21. Encouragingly, positive comments are already being received about the work on upgrading our footpaths whilst progress continues to identify the needs and provide additional playground equipment and benches. The badger watch to be held tomorrow (Friday) is fully booked, but our senior residents are more than welcome to attend the Friday lunch in the community centre.
