Police will be back in Bo'ness Road on Friday in a bid to trace witnesses

Police will return to the area where a woman was found after being the victim of a serious sexual assault.

They will go back to Bo’ness in Grangemouth at 8 p.m. on Friday - a week after the incident took place - in an effort to trace possible witnesses to the horror attack that left a 47-year-old woman with facial injuries.

It is understood she was indecently assaulted somewhere between Zetland Park and Inchyra Park in Grangemouth between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. before being found by officers.

Detective Sergeant Steven Hoggan said: “We have committed a full enquiry team to this incident and they will be dedicated and focused on bringing about a swift and satisfactory result.

‘‘We are keen to trace anybpdy who was in the area surrounding Zetland Park, Inchyra Park and Bo’ness Road who may have seen the woman in distress. She may have been on her own or with a man.

“The community should be asssured that incidents of this nature are thankfully rare and this enquiry has our full commitment of resources and expertise.”
