Disgraced MP Eric Joyce is reported to be considering his future after his latest court conviction.
It comes two years after The Falkirk Herald called on him to go following a punch up in a House of Commons bar led to his arrest.
Last Friday, he pled guilty at Edinburgh Sheriff Court to abusing airport staff as they tried to help him retrieve his mobile phone from a plane.
His “drink-fuelled rant” also resulted in him racially abusing a policeman.
The honourable member for Falkirk was fined £1500 after admitting the breach of the peace.
In March 2012, Scotland’s top weekly newspaper told the MP he had consistently hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
At that time he was rebuked: “It is apparent to us that you have lost the respect of many members of the public and it is our view that you are no longer a fit person to represent this constituency. We call on you to resign immediately.”
Following this latest episode we reiterate that call.
