The first Falkirk Bairn of 2013 made his appearance in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Harrison Denver Holmes was the first baby of the new year to be born in the NHS Forth Valley area.
Mum Debbie Gibson (24), from Slamannan, had been due to give birth on January 7, but little Harrison, who weighed 7lb 2oz, decided on a more memorable birthday.
He arrived safely at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert at 4.17 a.m.
He’s a third son for delighted dad James Holmes (26) and a little brother for James Robert (4) and John Thomas (2).
Dad James said: “We are absolutely over the moon.
“We are sill in shock that he’s the first baby of the new year in Falkirk, but it’s a great thing.
“However, the most important thing was that he was fit and well.
“Debbie is still getting used to it too, because she didn’t expect to go when she did.
“My oldest son has not stopped talking about the new baby. We are all over the moon.”
Harrison was joined at Forth Valley Royal Hospital by two more new arrivals on New Year’s Day, both from the Stirling area.
In Scotland, it is believed that he was the seventh new arrival of the new year, with the first being delivered in Paisley at four minutes past midnight.
