Police have said the death of a 64-year-old woman whose body was discovered in a Falkirk house on Friday is not suspicious.

The body was found around 1.45 p.m. and immediately officers began a search of the scene.

Officers remained at the terraced house overnight and were still present outside the home on Saturday.

However, it is understood that following a post mortem yesterday foul play was ruled out.

Detective Sergeant Ian Shaw said: “Police in Falkirk attended an address at Windsor Road following the death of a 64-year-old woman on Friday.

“The death is being treated as non suspicious and a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”

Reports are routinely sent to the Procurator Fiscal when there has been a sudden death.
