Falkirk police grab dopey criminals

Clues left by criminals have made life a bit easier for police

Clues left by criminals have made life a bit easier for police

Dopey criminals made it easy for police when they left lots of clues about their alleged offences.

Officers couldn’t believe their luck when a suspected drug dealer walked into a police station to report his bag missing.

For the bag had already been handed in to police
after it was discovered in a taxi in Bonnybridge on
Friday ... and allegedly contained £2000 worth of
heroin

A 39-year-old man was arrested over the lost bag and drug haul and appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Monday.

And the alleged thief who broke into a Falkirk home while the owners were on
holiday, used their internet to
access his social media
account and search for
second-hand dealers in the
area.

It didn’t take officers much detective work to identify the account holder or the shop where the stolen property had been sold.

The goods have now been returned to the righful owner and a 19-year-old man
has been charged with theft by housebreaking.

Falkirk Police revealed both incidents on its social media sites.
