The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service raised temperatures in Falkirk town centre today.

Working alongside Falkirk Delivers, the town’s Business Improvement District, firefighters once again put on a heart-pounding fire safety demonstration.

The free event began at 10 a.m. at Falkirk Steeple and featured a wide variety of displays, including road traffic collision extrication, rope rescue, fire dogs and ladder rescue.

Officers were also on hand throughout to give people advice on all aspects of fire safety, while children enjoyed the presence of telly star Fireman Sam.

Liaison officer Stuart Watson said: “This annual fire safety demo day is always a great free day out and provides us with the opportunity to show the community what we do as well as provide much needed advice.”
