Police raided the property in Denny on Christmas Eve

 

It was an unhappy Christmas for one Denny woman after she was arrested following a police raid on a property in the town suspected of being used to grow cannabis.

Officers raided the property in Overton Crescent on the morning of December 24 following a tip-off.

A quantity of cannabis was subsequently recovered and it was also discovered that the electricity meter in the property had been bypassed.

A woman was arrested and is due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court.

Sergeant David Fergusson, community officer for Denny, said: “We appeal to the public to inform us of any drug activity they are aware of - this is an example that the intelligence is acted upon quickly and with success.”
