A teenager who raped a six-year-old girl claiming he was “curious” is behind bars.
Jay Wicek attacked the child at a property in Grangemouth last year.
The youngster eventually told her mum sparking a police investigation.
It lead to Wicek admitting at the High Court in Glasgow to raping the child between March and May last year.
The 16 year-old, of Camelon, was remanded in custody and will learn his fate next month.
The court how the victim’s mum had noticed changes in her daughter - including her not wanting to visit the bathroom or go to bed.
In early May, the girl then revealed what Wicek had done to her and police were alerted.
Wicek was later quizzed and said he had not wanted to hurt the child, but that he had been “curious”.
Prosecutor Margaret Barron told the court that the young victim continues to suffer nightmares and is not coping well at school.
Judge Lady Rae deferred sentencing for reports and also placed Wicek on the sex offenders register.
