Woman followed through Falkirk streets

A female fled after a late-night incident in Falkirk.

She had left her home in Westfield Street around 11 p.m. on Saturday to head towards the Central Retail Park. Approaching the junction with Randyford Street, she became aware of a man following her.

He shouted at her to stop but, frightened by his approaches, she ran home.

The man is described as in his late 20s, of slim build and wearing a black balaclava or scarf with only his eyes showing. He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

PC Alison Granger said: “We would also appeal for the male involved to get in touch, as it may be that his actions were misinterpreted.”

Anyone with information should contact police on (01786) 45600.
