Toy gun scare at Falkirk secondary school

Staff and pupils at a Falkirk school had a frightening moment today when a youngster claimed that he had brought a gun to class.

Thankfully, the gun in question was a toy and the Graeme High School pupil who boasted about it to classmates has subsequently been reprimanded for his thoughtless actions.

A Falkirk Council spokesman said: “A pupil brought a toy gun into school and it was brought to the attention of staff who removed it. The pupil in question has been spoken with and family members contacted.

“The pupil fully understands the concerns that were raised and has apologised for his actions.”
