Three-year-old dies after Hallglen incident

A toddler has died in hospital after an incident on Tuesday.

The three-year-old boy was injured at an address in Garry Place, Hallglen shortly before teatime.

An ambulance was called to the property at 4.45 p.m. and the youngster was taken to Edinburgh’s Sick Children’s Hospital.

A spokeswoman for Central Scotland Police confirmed today that the boy died late on Thursday afternoon.

She said inquiries were “still and an early stage” and were “ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident”.

She added that no one had been arrested or charged in connection with the incident.
