Slip road closed for pavement works

A motorway slip road will be closed overnight to allow pavement investigation works to be carried out.

Junction 5 of the M9 motorway, near Polmont, will be closed from 10 p.m. on Thursday, January 31 and 6 a.m. the following day.

The investigation works are the first phase of an investment by Transport Scotland for the upgrading of the slip road.

A diversion route will be in place for the duration of the works.

Motorists wishing to use the slip road will be diverted north along the M9 to junction 7, where they will be redirected, via Bowtrees Roundabout, to return south on the M9 to junction 5.
