Pupils at the district’s schools and nurseries returned to the classroom on Monday - with the happy memories of their festive celebrations a few weeks ago.

The Falkirk Herald’s team of photographers were out and about during the run-up to the festive season capturing the many nativity plays and carol concerts taking place.

Hundreds of youngsters had the chance to showcase their talents in front of enthusiastic audiences of proud friends and families.

And with original costumes, merry sing-alongs and innovative scenery all on display, they were certain to install some Christmas spirit in all that attended.
