Roadworks to shut part of M9

Motorists are warned delays could be likely when part of the M9 closes on Thursday evening

Motorists are warned delays could be likely when part of the M9 closes on Thursday evening

Motorists are being warned delays could be likely when part of the M9 Southbound, near Larbert, closes to traffic overnight on Thursday.

The carriageway will shut from Junction 8 Hill of Kinnaird to Junction 7 Kinnaird House to allow for resurfacing works to go ahead. A diversion will begin at 8 p.m. and the road should be reopened to traffic by 6 a.m. on Friday.

Ian Stewart, from BEAR Scotland, said: “These works are being carried out at night to minimise delays to the travelling public.

“We would, however, encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance where possible.”
