Police appeal for witnesses after crash

A man is in hospital after an early morning road accident in Bainsford.

He was driving a Honda Civic which was the only vehicle involved in the smash in Carron Road, near to the junction with Foundry Street

The driver was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital suffering from serious injuries following the accident which occurred around 2.20 a.m.

Roads in the area were closed while police carried out a full investigation causing rush-hour disruption. They were eventually re-opened around 9 a.m.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses to contact them on 01786 45600 or information can be given in confidence to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
