One month of roadworks on the M876 at Glenbervie to start from Monday
Roadworks will last for most of July
A £2.8 million project to improve the M876 is now nearing completion.
From Monday the final stage of the works will see new slip roads being joined to the M876 - allowing direct access to and from the east of Scotland at junction two near Glenbervie, Larbert.
While construction is taking place it will be necessary to reduce both eastbound and westbound M876 traffic to one lane in each direction for a period of four weeks. This will allow the work to be completed in the shortest time with the least disruption to the travelling public.
A Transport Scotland spokesperson said: “This project is set to bring real benefits by reducing traffic on local roads. Whilst work has been timed to coincide with the school holidays, when traffic volumes are significantly lower, it is still anticipated there will be delays on the M876 at peak hours.
“We ask drivers to pay attention to the traffic management which is there to protect both road workers and road users alike.”
