The annual pre-Christmas hunt for the cutest kids in the area is under way.

And we are looking for photogenic youngsters to be entered.

There are three age categories in The Falkirk Herald Bonny Bairns 2012 contest – under-ones, under-twos and under-fours – and all you have to do to enter is arrange a photo shoot with Bill Miller Photographers in Vicar Street, Falkirk.

For just £19.99 you will receive a fantastic professional 8in x 6in portrait of your little one and will be entered for free into the competition.

Once all the entries are received, The Falkirk Herald will print the portraits of all contestants and it is up to the public to vote for the most beautiful babe and top
toddler.

The top-placed child in each category will receive a large framed wall portrait and two calendars to the value of £200 as well as a £30 gift voucher courtesy of The Falkirk Herald and a £25 voucher from Little Monster Toys in Callendar Square.

The closing date for entries is Friday, December 21 and the finalists will be announced in the New Year.

Falkirk Herald editor Colin Hume said: “The Bonny Bairns competition always attracts a lot of entries and the calibre is very high.

“The contest is the ideal excuse to get a lovely professional portrait of your child and show them off at the same time.”

To enter call Bill Miller Photographers, based in Vicar Street, Falkirk, on (01324) 624708 and arrange to go in for a portrait sitting before Friday, December 21.
