Howgate gears up for Kids Club launch

The Howgate has lined up plenty of fun

Throwing open the door to its new Kids Club this weekend is the Howgate Shopping Centre.

It will run on the first Saturday of every month for youngsters 11 years and under. Events will be free but some will require pre-booking so ensure you become a member.

The fun starts this Saturday with a crafty Mother’s Day event when experts will be on hand to help young artists create a card for mum. For this and all future events, children must be accompanied by an adult.

Howie, the Howgate Centre’s new mascot, will be on hand to shake paws with Kids Club members and to lead the entertainment. Members will also get a goody-filled backpack.

Margaret Foy, the Howgate’s marketing manager, said: “This is something we have been keen to do for a long time. Our youngest customers are very important for us and we wanted to do something for them.

“The club will bring a wide range of fun activities to the centre and we’ll be listening to our junior customers to make sure that we keep providing what they want.”
