Lorraine Kelly will lead the walk

Trainers and tiaras at the ready, it’s time to sign up for the 2012 Strathcarron Hospice Midnight Walk.

The event on Saturday, May 12, is the fourth to be organised for the Denny healthcare facility.

It features either a five or 10-mile walk around Stirling and once again will be led by TV presenter Lorraine Kelly.

Encouraging people to take part, she said: “Training for the walk is a great way of getting rid of those extra pounds that we all put on at Christmas. I hope lots of ladies will join me for the walk, as not only is it good fun, but it’s great to know that you are raising money for such a wonderful cause.”

The entry fee is £20 and every participant will receive a special Midnight Tiara Walk t-shirt, refreshments, backpack, medal and breakfast on finishing.

Each walker will be required to raise a minimum of £30 sponsorship. Participants have to be 16 years and over.

You can register online at www.strathcarronhospice.org or by calling (01324) 8262222 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
