One of the more unusual fundraising events is going ahead today at Heaven ‘n’ Hell Tattoo Studio.

They are hosting the third annual Friday the 13th Tattoo Day to raise money for Strathcarron Hospice. Volunteers can choose from dozens of small designs for a donation of £20 with all the proceeds going to the Fankerton hospice.

By lunch time today, 71 people walked out with new ink and owner of the studio on Falkirk High Street, Mary Benfell, said they are confident this will be the busiest event yet.

She added: “The staff and tattoo artists are working for free so that as much as possible can be donated to the hospice.

“It’s been an unbelievably busy day so far but knowing that it is for a good cause means no one is moaning too much.”

The shop will be open until 8 p.m. tonight. Anyone wanting to be tattooed for a charity should visit the shop at 193 High Street or call them on (01324) 617617.
