A memorial display will be part of Falkirk Model Railway Club’s annual show this weekend.

Members of the club have spent a year working on the set-up in memory of former member Graeme Robertson who died of a brain tumour three year ago.

The mythical model is called ‘Graemeston Quay’ and includes a host of picturesque features.

Other new models the club has been working on for this year’s show are a Thomas the Tank Engine display, Underground Ernie and Hogwarts Express for the Harry Potter fans.

Exhibition co-ordinator Ron Young said: “We wanted to pay tribute to Graeme who was a valued and popular friend to everyone here.

“Such was his love and passion for trains he left us, and the Scottish Railway Preservation Society in Bo’ness, £500 in his will and we think we’ve done his display justice.

“Our new models are also great and there will be something for everyone at the exhibition, which is always very popular.”

The exhibition runs on Saturday and Sunday at Forth Valley College, Grangemouth Road, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information visit www.falkirkmrc.co.uk.
