Drugs seized in Maddiston

Police officers recovered a large quantity of illegal drugs from a property in Maddiston.

Following intelligence received from the public, Central Scotland Police were able to recover thousands of pounds worth of cannabis resin, diazepam, ecstasy and cocaine which were about to be distributed in the Grangemouth area when officers swooped in on their raid.

A 32-year-old man has been charged with being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.

Inspector John Kellett said: “This is a prime example of what can be achieved through police and the community working together. We continue to appeal to all members of the public to come forward and engage with us if you have any information about crimes in the area.”

Anyone with information can contact Central Scotland Police on 01786 456000 or information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
