The Face of Falkirk final will be held on Sunday at the Beancross

The Falkirk Herald’s Face of Falkirk’s grand final and charity fashion show is on this Sunday afternoon - and tickets are still available.

Over the past few months, we have been searching for our 2012 Face of Falkirk, and now are only a few days away from crowning our winner.

Thanks to votes from our readers, we now have our finalists who can’t wait to strut their stuff at our live event on Sunday at the Beancross’ Millennium Suite.

Tickets for our event cost just £10, and for that you’ll be treated to an afternoon of modelling from our finalists, entertainment, snacks, a raffle and charity auction.

Not only that, but as proceeds from the day will be going to Strathcarron Hospice, you’ll be doing your bit to support one of Falkirk’s favourite charities.

Our event will be presented and compared by George Craig, former managing director of Falkirk Football Club and business consultant to the footballing industry.

There will also be entertainment from the excellent Dance Dreams Theatre School, as well as a set from stunning vocalist Lisa Heesom who will perform a Celine Dion tribute act.

The afternoon will also feature ‘30 minutes of fundraising’ when raffle and auction prizes will be up for grabs.

But the main event will be our finalists who’ll be doing their best to catch the eyes of the judges.

On our judging panel is Falkirk Herald editor Colin Hume, Howgate Shopping Centre marketing manager Margaret Foy, businessman and co-owner of Couper & Co Greame Hamilton, and winner of Specsavers modelling competition Lucie Stevenson.

Our contestants will be looking their best with the help of Couper & Co, and will be wearing fashions from local retailers and showing off their own style.

The finalists will also be answering some questions from our judges who will then be given the tough task of picking our winner.

Doors will open at 12.45 p.m. for a prompt 1.30 p.m. start and we are hoping to crown our winner by 5 p.m. Anyone who has not already bought a ticket can be buy them at the event.
