Denny demolition work to resume in January
The next section of Church Walk will be demolished in January.
Demolition work in Denny town centre will resume in the new year, it was announced this week.
The section of Church Walk at the north end of Stirling Street will be flattened as part of a long-awaited project to regenerate the heart of the town.
The dilapidated blocks, which used to contain a mixture of shops and flats, are being demolished in stages as part of a Falkirk Council-backed scheme.
There will be one section of Church Walk remaining, near Denny Cross, once the next block bites the dust. The council anticipates this will be brought down in the second half of 2013.
Plans for a new two-storey building at Denny Cross containing a library and shops are due to be submitted for approval in the coming weeks.
