Collision forces closure of main road

Police closed the road between Camelon and Roughmute shortly after 9 a.m. this morning.

Police closed the road between Camelon and Roughmute shortly after 9 a.m. this morning.

A collision involving two vehicles led to the closure of the main road linking Denny and Falkirk.

The incident happened around 9 a.m. this morning on the A883, close to Roughmute Recycling Centre.

It is understood that a van was involved in a collision with a lorry.

Central Scotland Police closed the road to allow both vehicles to be recovered. It was reopened to traffic shortly after 11 a.m.

There were no reported injuries.
