Music will fill the streets and shops of two towns this month as groups plug in and blast off for this year’s bandstand festivals.

After the success of the 2011 events, organisers Falkirk town centre management and local music man Jim Dunbar have teamed up again to bring an even more exciting line-up of acts to the two outdoor stages this summer. The Grangemouth event, held in La Porte Precinct, kicks off first at noon on Saturday and runs for four consecutive Saturdays, while the Falkirk festival, in the east end of High Street, begins at noon next Saturday and finishes up on Saturday, September 8.

The line-up for the opening day in Grangemouth is: Sarah Monteith (noon); Double Trouble (12.40 p.m.) Special Guests (1.20 p.m.) Rock n Roll Dave Band (2.20 p.m.); Aorta (3.20 p.m.)
