Police closed the road for hours following the incident at 245 Carron Road, Bainsford

A man who allegedly tried to kill a 43-year-old in Bainsford last week has appeared in court again.

Philip Thomson (40) made no plea or declaration at Falkirk Sheriff Court today and was remanded in custody, charged with attempted murder.

The male victim was taken from 245 Carron Road, Bainsford by ambulance to Forth Valley Royal Hospital following the incident in the early hours of June 26 and released the same day.
