A Banknock hairdresser has been showing she’s a cut above the rest after reaching the final of a national competition.
Lindsay McManus, who works at The Krop Shop in Kilsyth Road, made it to the finals of the Wella Trend Vision competition
The 24-year-old, who has been a hairdresser for six years, said: “First I had to send in a photographic entry.
“Then I was invited through to the Scottish finals in Glasgow where I had one hour to recreate the look on stage. The models then walked the catwalk to show off the look.
“It was a huge event with around 600 people in the audience.
“It was the first time I’d ever entered it, and I’m definitely going to try again next year.”
Lindsay, from Falkirk, has also completed a Colour Master Expert course run by Wella, one of the highest hair colour qualifications available. The course was run over six months, with Lindsay having to travel to and from Manchester for five days at a time to get to the classes.
She added: “The course was really in-depth and quite sciencey, which I really liked.”
