Parish Church

All are welcome to join the morning worship each Sunday at 10 a.m. Last Sunday a special welcome was given to Mr and Mrs McNeil who return each year to the church where they were married and our Italian friends revisiting the manse. Tonight (Thursday) the Congregational Board and Kirk Session meet at 7 p.m. On door duty this Sunday are: Mrs I. Strathie, Mrs J. Sherratt, Mrs J. Letham and Mrs E. Gillies. On tea duty are: Mr and Mrs P. Ferguson and Mrs J. Currie. The flowers for this service are being donated by Mrs Jean Sherratt. On Sunday evening (Sepember 7) at 7.30 p.m. there is Referendum Hustings in St Michael’s Kirk, Linlithgow. Speakers are Danny Alexander, MSP; Baroness Annabel Goldie MSP; Fiona Hyslop MSP; Patrick Harvie MSP. A short service of ‘Prayers for Scotland’ will be held at 6.30 p.m. followed by pre-event refreshments. On Saturday, September 13, from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. it’s ‘Falkirk’s Got Talent’, Presbytery Resource Day in Falkirk Trinity Church. On Saturday, September 27, at 3 p.m .there will be a memorial service for the victims of Peshawar bombing in Abbotsgrange Church, Grangemouth. Also on September 27 at 7.30 p.m. There will be a musical evening with Steve Grossart and Friends in the Greenpark Centre, Polmont. Tickets are £12 and £5 for children, includes a light supper. Please bring your own refreshments.

Gospel Hall

The 3 p.m. Gospel meetings will recommence this Sunday in the Cotton Lane Gospel hall. Tea and biscuits will be served afterwards. Everyone is very welcome.

Medium’s Visit

Laurieston Spiritualist Church will have Geraldine Russell from Airdrie as guest medium for its service in the Old Folks Welfare Hall in Mary Street on Monday, September 8. Doors open 6.45 p.m., service starts 7.30 p.m. Everyone welcome.

Cash Bingo

An evening session is on every Sunday in Laurieston Community Hall (in the park). Doors open 6 p.m., eyes down 6.45 p.m. Two snowballs to play for. Refreshments available. Tel: 07773991931.
