Gospel Hall

The preacher at the 3 p.m. Gospel Meeting in the Cotton Lane Gospel Hall, will be Mr Ian Lockhart from Kinross. Tea and biscuits will be served afterwards. Everyone is welcome.

L.O.F.W.A.

Brantan Shoes are coming along the the coffee morning on Thursday, September 18, when they will give a talk on selling some of their products Everyone is very welcome. there will be a concert in the Old Folks Hall on Friday, September 26, at 7.30 p.m. when Alistair Allen will be coming along to entertain us. Tickets are priced £3 or pay at the door.

Parish Church

All are welcome to morning worship each Sunday at 10 a.m. On Saturday, Falkirk’s Got Talent: Presbytery Resource Day in Falkirk Trinity Church on September 13, from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. On door duty next Sunday, September 14, are: Mrs M. Hoggan, Mrs M. Erskine, Miss M. Brown, Mr S. Arneil. The flowers for this service are being donated by James and Margaret Paton. Tea duty will be provided by: Mrs M. Andrew, Mrs J. White, Mrs C. Park and Mrs S. Marshall. A remembrance service takes place on Monday, September 15, “A time to remember” for those bereaved by suicide, in the Spiritual Care Centre, Forth Valley Royal Hospital. A musical evening with Steve Grossart and Friends on Saturday, September 27 at 7.30 p.m. in the Greenpark Centre, Polmont. Tickets are £12 and £5 for children including light supper. Please bring your own refreshments. There will be a memorial service for the victims of the Peshawar bombing in Abbotsgrange Church, Grangemouth on Saturday, September 27 at 3 p.m. If you are already a member of another church and wish to transfer your membership here, this is very straightforward: just let the Minister or one of the elders know. A prelimiary meeting for people interested in joining the church for the first time will be held in the Manse (11 Polmont Road, Laurieston) on Wednesday, October 8 at 7.30 p.m. Please let the minister know if you hope to be there, or if that date does not suit. There will be no service in Barleystone Nursing Home in September. The next service is on Tuesday, October 6, at 2 p.m.

Medium’s Visit

Laurieston Spiritualist Church will have Sharon Leitch from Armadale as guest medium for its service in the Old Folks Welfare Hall in Mary Street on Monday, September 15. Doors open 6.45 p.m., service starts 7.30 p.m. Everyone welcome.
