Laurieston Church

On Sunday there was hilarity during morning worship when Dr Henderson initiated a mock election with choir members being ‘voluntary’ candidates. After some deliberation, Margaret Ross was elected mock Prime Minister. No doubt she could offer the real candidates some gems of wisdom! Relative Old Testament readings reflected similar problems then and now. On Sunday, May 10 door duty will be covered by Mrs A. Gardner, Mr J. Christie, Mr J. McLellan and Mr G. Ferguson. On tea duty are Mrs I. Strathie, Mrs J. Sherrat, Mrs J. Letham and Mrs E. Gillies.

Old Folks

L.O.F.A’s next event will be a fashion show which will be held in the Old Folks Hall on Friday, May 29 at 7.30 p.m. This is something new for us and we hope it will be a success. Please come along and support us. Tickets are £3 pay at the door. All welcome.
