Parish Church

Laurieston Church has been the venue for many aspects of Christian life events in the past weekend. Last Friday, August 8, Nicola Henderson and Scott Oliver were married and our best wishes are extended to them. Saturday, August 9, was the funeral service of Lauriestonian John Ballantye Stirling with a moving eulogy from life-long family friends in the Netherlands. At morning worship on Sunday, August 10, baby Anna-Louise Workman Rushford was welcomed into the family of the church by the Sacrament of Baptism. On door duty on Sunday are Mrs M. Ferguson, Mrs J. Currie, Mr W. Daye, and Mr P. Ferguson. On tea duty are: I. Strathie, J. Sherrat, J. Letham and E.Gillies. The flowers for this service are being donated by Derek and Pauline Turner. A date for your diary is a musical evening with Steve Grossart & Friends on Saturday, September 27 in the Greenpark Centre at 7.30 p.m. Tickets, available from Peter cost £12 adults and £5 children (includes light supper). Please bring your own refreshments.
