Helix Walks

The evening walks have now recommenced every Wednesday, just turn up at Laurieston Square for 7 p.m. and enjoy a walk around the South Paths, walks are led by experienced walk leaders and we suggest that that suitable footwear and clothing be worn, for further details contact Ian Wright at (01324) 636799.

Parish Church

The Guild meetings will now recess until October. A very successful Spring Song ended with winter session, and grateful thanks are extended to all who attended and to the talented Forth Bridges Accordion Band membes and supporters. The reflection theme at last Sunday morning’s worship was Jesus’ relationship with Zacchaeus and Lazarus referring to the painting received and studied by each person attending. Morning worship is at 10 a.m. and all are welcome. Lent study in Laurieston Church hall (session room) today, (Thursday) at 2.30 p.m. Week 5: Redemption and Salvation. On tea duty this week are I. Strathie, J.Sherrat, J. Letham and E. Gillies. The flowers will be donated by Elma Rae. On door duty are: Mrs. M. Hoggan, Mrs M. Erskine, Miss M. Brown, and Mr S. Arneil. The caption competition prize for best word bubble or caption for the miniser’s photo entry is £1 and closing date is Easter Sunday. Proceeds to refurbishment fund. Holy Week services (all at 7pm), Monday, April 14, Wallacestone Mtherodist Church; Tuesday, April 15, Polmont Old Church; Wednesday, April 16, Redding and Westquarter Church; Thursday, April 17, Brightons Church (Maundy Thursday Communion), Friday, April 18, Muiravonside Church (Good Friday). All welcome. Holy Communion will be celebrated in Laurieston on Sunday, April 27 at 10 a.m. and 6.30 p.m.

Gospel Hall

The preacher at the 3 p.m. Sunday Gospel Meeting in the Cotton Lane Gospel Hall, will be Stephen Dodds from Mayfield, Edinburgh. On Saturday, at 7 p.m. there will be the second in our series of special April ministry meetings when the Bible teacher will be Robert Thomson from Bishopton. Tea and biscuits will be served after wach of these meetings. Everyone is welcome.
