President Jean Geddes of the Rotary Club of Vale of Carron welcomed members to the Plough Hotel, Stenhousemuir. After a good meal and some short discussion on business matters Rotarian Graham McGregor was invited to talk on his experiences in Lesotho, a landlocked kingdom surrounded by South Africa. One of his major tasks was to survey the whole road network. In large, remote areas, often on horseback, Graham found shelter at night in Catholic Missions. Colourful photos of local people and unusual rock formations illustrated his amusing and enlightening tales. President Jean gave a warm vote of thanks on behalf of the club. The meeting on May 7 will be the AGM. Earlier that day several members will go to Linlithgow to support Carronshore Primary School in the area semi-final of the District 1020 Primary Schools Quiz.
