The President reported on another busy year when awareness of Rotary had increased in the community. The club continues to be involved in District 1020. Individual convenors reported on their 2013–14 areas of responsibility. There was a successful first venture Christmas collection with Santa and his sleigh in Denny and Bonnybridge; the members look forward to building on that. During the year donations were made to Strathcarron Hospice; Falkirk Foodbank; End Polio Now; Rotary’s own charity The Rotary Foundation; Home-Start (Falkirk West) Denny and various small donations. Gardening continues despite extensive and disruptive engineering works at Larbert Station. The first barrel train, complete with Rotary branding, is eye catching. The café at Dobbie Hall during Craft Fairs provides welcome funds and interaction with the community. In September these events will resume. In April we were again involved in the organisation and running of the Charities Fun Day when many organisations had a chance to raise funds and profiles. Collections of spectacles, at Stenhousemuir Health Centre, for developing countries continue. The AGM finished with thanks from President Jean for another successful and fruitful year of teamwork.
