Everyone is warmly welcome to the services this coming Sunday in Carrongrange School at 10.30 a.m.-6 p.m. This week the church’s first birthday will be celebrated and there will be a light lunch served after the morning service. Grace Kids, for children of primary school age, recommence after the summer break. The Prayer Meeting will be held in the Dawson Mission on Thursday at 7.45 p.m. Generate, for secondary school kids, meets in the Dawson Mission this Saturday at 7 p.m.
Larbert Old Playgroup has vacancies for new members. The playgroup is for children from two years and upwards and runs on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9.30-11.25 a.m in Larbert Old Parish Church (Larbert Cross). Tryst Community Church will meet in Tryst Community Centre, Park Drive, Stenhousemuir on Sunday, August 24 at 10 a.m. for worship and Bible teaching. The teaching this week will consider The Message of Jonah and will be led by Peter Henderson. The service will be followed by tea/coffee. All Sections of Larbert 2nd Boys’ Brigade start up on tomorrow (Friday) and, as always, new members are very welcome. Anchor Boys, P2-3, led by Mrs Small, meet in the Baptist Church hall at 7 p.m. Junior Section, P4-P6, led by Mr McCulloch, meet at 7 p.m. in Larbert Village Primary School. Company Section, P7-S6, led by Mr Murphy, meet at 7 p.m. in Larbert Village Primary School. The school should be entered by the entrance off Eastcroft Street, not the entrance from Main Street. All sections have an interesting and exciting programme of interests and activities to suit all young people and we are also returning to Dalguise activity centre where we enjoyed a long weekend last session. The leaders and committee members of the 62nd Larbert Scout Group wish to thank all those who donated items and supported the group’s annual Jumble Sale last week. The event was very well attended and a great success and all monies raised will help with the costs associated with the running of the group throughout the year. The new session begins tomorrow (Friday) with the Cross Unit Explorer scouts resuming on Monday. The Beavers and Cubs return on Tuesday. Regretfully, there are no vacancies in any of the sections at present.
